JACOPO MANDICH
(Roma 1979)
Laureato in scultura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma nel 2005. Nel 2006 vince il premio Edgardo Mannucci. Nel 2014 presenta due esposizioni personali a Roma: “ Cosmogonie” presso la galleria Varsi e “A ferro e fuoco” presso la galleria d’arte FABER. Nel 2015 frequenta i corsi biennali di specializzazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino e di Torino. Nel 2015 è il primo artista italiano invitato alla Biennale degli Urali in Russia. Nel 2018 frequenta il Master di scultura alla Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle University of Art and Design in Halle, Germany.
La sua ricerca artistica si basa sull’interazione alchemica ed energetica delle materie. Legno, ferro, pietra entrano in contatto e in contrasto generando potenti e vibranti strutture scultoree.
Nel 2019 sviluppa il progetto Forze invisibili, una pentalogia espositiva composta da una serie di installazioni itineranti (Jackal project, Connessioni, Levitatis bellum, Space, Hug), in cui indaga tutte quelle energie nascoste e intangibili che muovono gli esseri umani.
Nel 2021 pubblica il suo primo progetto illustrativo, il grafic novel el volador (edizioni FABER).Del 2022 è la mostra Pseudohorses presso la galleria Raffaella De Chirico, Milano.

Graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2005. In 2006 he wins the Edgardo Mannucci award. In 2014 he presents two personal exhibitions in Rome: ” Cosmogonie” at the Varsi gallery and “A ferro e fuoco” at the FABER art gallery. In 2015 he attends the two-year specialization courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino and Turin. In 2015 he is the first Italian artist invited to the Ural Biennial in Russia. In 2018 he attends the Master of Sculpture at the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle University of Art and Design in Halle, Germany.
His artistic research is based on the alchemical and energetic interaction of materials. Wood, iron, stone come into contact and contrast generating powerful and vibrant sculptural structures.
In 2019 he develops the project Forze invisibili, an exhibition pentalogy composed of a series of travelling installations (Jackal project, Connessioni, Levitatis Bellum, Space, Hug), in which he investigates all those hidden and intangible energies that move human beings.
In 2021 he publishes his first illustrative project, the graphic novel el volador (FABER editions).The exhibition Pseudohorses at the Raffaella De Chirico Gallery, Milan, dates from 2022.
