KEISUKE MATSUOKA
(Miyagi, Giappone, 1980)
Si laurea e specializza in scultura presso Tohoku University of Art and Design (Yamagata,Giappone) nel 2005. Nel 2013 ottiene la prestigiosa borsa di studio “Fellowship of Overseas Study Program for Artists by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japanese Government” (USA 2013-2014).
La sua ricerca artistica si concentra su una riflessione antropologica che è alla base dell’intero lavoro sviluppato in tecniche scultoree sempre differenti e personali.
Dal 2002 espone le sue opere in musei pubblici (RIAS ARK MUSEUM OF ART Miyagi, National Art Center of Tokyo, ASAGO ART VILLAGE MUSEUM, The Museum of Modern Art Gunma) ed in gallerie private (Space·S , INAXgallery2, galleria grafica bis, Gallery Yamaguchi, PROMO-ARTE Project Gallery, Gallery&Space AGITT, Tokyo, galleria d’arte FABER, Roma) in Giappone e Italia.Nel 2016 riceve la borsa di studio ”Followship under the Pola Art Foundation Overseas Study Program”, e vive e lavora a Roma fino al 2017.Nel 2019 partecipa a “Art Fair Tokyo 2019”, Tokyo International Forum, Giappone. Sempre nel 2019 espone presso il POLA MUSEUM ANENEX a Tokyo. Nel 2022 presenta il progetto REFUGEES presso la galleria d’arte FABER e presso l’Art Fair Roma Arte in Nuvola. Nel 2022 vince il premio “10th Asago Art Competition” e installa la scultura “a tree of elephant” presso Asago Art Village Museum a Yokohama in Giappone.

He graduated and majored in sculpture from Tohoku University of Art and Design (Yamagata, Japan) in 2005. In 2013, she was awarded the prestigious fellowship “Fellowship of Overseas Study Program for Artists by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japanese Government” (USA 2013-2014).
His artistic research focuses on an anthropological reflection that is the basis of the entire work developed in sculptural techniques always different and personal.
Since 2002 he exhibits his works in public museums (RIAS ARK MUSEUM OF ART Miyagi, National Art Center of Tokyo, ASAGO ART VILLAGE MUSEUM, The Museum of Modern Art Gunma) and private galleries (Space-S, INAXgallery2, bis graphic gallery, Gallery Yamaguchi, PROMO-ARTE Project Gallery, Gallery&Space AGITT, Tokyo, FABER art gallery, Rome) in Japan and Italy.
In 2016 she received the Fellowship under the Pola Art Foundation Overseas Study Program grant, and lives and works in Rome until 2017.In 2019, he participated in ‘Art Fair Tokyo 2019′, Tokyo International Forum, Japan. Also in 2019, he exhibits at the POLA MUSEUM ANENEX in Tokyo. In 2022 he presents the project REFUGEES at the FABER art gallery and at the Art Fair Roma Arte in Nuvola. In 2022 he won the ’10th Asago Art Competition’ award and installed the sculpture ‘a tree of elephant’ at Asago Art Village Museum in Yokohama, Japan.
